WHAT IS A COWBOY CHURCH?

“CrossCountry is a cowboy church that isn’t just for cowboys”

Cowboy really represents a culture and value system that is quickly being lost, forgotten or resisted in our world.  And CrossCountry is a church for everyone that rides and ropes, farms or gardens, hunts and fishes… or for those that long to or wish they could.  For people who understand how extraordinary the simple things in life are.  It’s also a church that is moving into the future, by reaching back into a time when things were slower and family-based, and values were valued-more and when life was Bible-based. To a time when words like family and faith and right and wrong meant something… and your personal word meant everything.  These are things that matter to God and helped make our country great and out of which Jesus can be lifted up and proclaimed to the whole world.  Any given Sunday you’ll hear country music and you’ll see cowboy hats, along with men and women who wear a hundred other hats; engineers, musicians, nurses, teachers, contractors, landscapers, business executives and farmers, all sitting side by side in worship.  Some are real cowboys, and some just have the heart of one.

CrossCountry is more of a bunkhouse for the hurting than a hotel for the holy.  A place for sinners who need Jesus and in some cases saints who think they don’t.  A spot on life’s trail where the cowboy in all of us can tie our horse to the hitching post and catch their breath or rest a spell.

Isn’t there really a little bit of Cowboy in all of us…

OUR MISSION

The mission of CrossCountry Cowboy Church is to connect people who live in or love the country to the message of the Cross. Rural, country, western, equine or those who just love that lifestyle, this church is for you.

THE EXPERIENCE:

CrossCountry Church is a cowboy church, but that doesn’t mean it is just for working or professional cowboys. Cowboys will certainly feel at home here, but CrossCountry is for anyone who enjoys a rural lifestyle, is family-oriented, and may or may not have livestock. It is the kind of laid-back church that identifies with western, down-home culture, wear hats and boots aren’t required but is certainly welcome. Most importantly, it is the kind of church where God is real, and everyone will feel like part of the family.
